Mudskipper SwimRun Challenge – powered by Canaqua Sports
Since our first race in 2017 Canaqua Sports has been working hard to grow our brand of SwimRun across Canada. In February 2020 we rebranded the Canaqua Sports SwimRun Challenge to the Mudskipper SwimRun Challenge and then promptly shut down due to Covid 19… talk about great timing! Now two years later and after running a limited number of events in 2021 we are excited to be running a full schedule in 2022 with races across Canada from Vancouver B.C. to Sackville N.S. and many locations in between. With distances ranging from 8.50 K to 20 K our races have something for everyone.

Mudskippers are amphibious fish. There are 32 living species of mudskipper. They are known for their unusual appearance and their ability to survive both in and out of water.
What is a SwimRun? A multi-stage event where participants survive both in and out of the water.
What is a Mudskipper SwimRun - The best event around where participants get to swim and run over a designated distance.
AQUATICRUNNER IWC SOLO WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP 2022
Since 2019 Canaqua Sports has partnered with Aquaticrunner and the World SwimRun Federation sending athletes to the World Individual SwimRun Championships held annually in Grado Italy. Now as we get back into a normal schedule we are excited to be running 4 qualifying events across Canada, with races in Vancouver B.C. Kenora and Parry Sound Ontario and Lower Sackville N.S.
Out of these events, the top 2 men and top 2 women will be invited to attend the world event as Team Canada. This years event will be held on September 18, 2022
Note that the qualifying distance for World Championships is 20 K
